SPORTS: Week 11 Winners
Washington @ Dallas - WINNER: DALLAS. Washington is terrible and after a bad loss last week Big D is looking for a statement game.
Cleveland @ Detroit - WINNER: DETROIT. Who honestly gives a shit about this game? Detroit is the "better" football team. They win this battle of the inept.
San Francisco @ Green Bay - WINNER: GREEN BAY. San Francisco is good but there not that good. Look for some big plays down the field for Rogers and his WR's.
Pittsburgh @ Kansas City - WINNER: PITTSBURGH. Not even a question here.....
Atlanta @ New York Giants - WINNER: NEW YORK. Lets face it they have to win a game and this might be their week with Atlanta having to go without Turner.
New Orleans @ Tampa Bay - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. They stay perfect against a Bucs team that is playing some pretty good football.
Buffalo @ Jacksonville - WINNER: JACKSONVILLE. They ride MoJo Drew to victory this week against the Bills.
Indianapolis @ Baltimore - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. They stay undefeated against another good football team because Manning owns this defense.
Seattle @ Minnesota: WINNER: MINNESOTA. Favre keeps them rolling.
Arizona @ St. Louis - WINNER: ARIZONA. Welcome home Kurt Warner. You still own this place.
New York Jets @ New England - WINNER: NEW YORK. It hasnt happened in a long time but I think the Jets can make New England lose two straight.
Cincinnati @ Oakland - WINNER: CINCINNATI. Gotta look out for the let down here but I think Cincy stays on the roll. They double their wins from last week in this game.
San Diego @ Denver - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. Denver is on a downward slide and now they dont have their starting quarterback so San Diego takes this game.
Philadelphia @ Chicago - WINNER: PHILADELPHIA. Even without Westbrook the Eagles have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. They take this game.
Tennessee @ Houston - WINNER: HOUSTON. Rematch of a high scoring week 2 game. I like Houston at home.

Buffalo @ Tennessee - WINNER: TENNESSEE. They continue there string of wins at home against the Bills.
New Orleans @ St. Louis - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. This can't even register as an actual game, slaughters more like it.
Tampa Bay @ Miami - WINNER: MIAMI. Sure Tampa Bay won last week but I dont think they'll win two in a row.
Detroit @ Minnesota - WINNER: MINNESOTA. Yeah really not a question here.
Jacksonville @ New York Jets - WINNER: JACKSONVILLE. MoJo leads the cats to the victory away from home.
Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh - WINNER: CINCINNATI. No one is giving them a chance, well I will. This is it. HUGE game
Denver @ Washington - WINNER: DENVER. They get back to their winning ways in this one.
Atlanta @ Carolina - WINNER: ATLANTA. The dirty birds steal a division game in this one.
Kansas City @ Oakland - WINNER: OAKLAND. Who honestly gives a shit about this.
Dallas @ Green Bay - WINNER: DALLAS. Green Bay cannot protect the quarterback and their going to pay for it.
Seattle @ Arizona - WINNER: ARIZONA. They wont lose this game at home against a mediocre at best team.
Philadelphia @ San Diego - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. Phillip Rivers leads them to an important victory at home. They prove that they're a tier 1 team.
New England @ Indianapolis - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. Gonna be a tough one but they win at home and stay perfect.
Baltimore @ Cleveland - WINNER: BALTIMORE. Cleveland is just that bad. Period.

SPORTS: Week 9 Winners
Arizona @ Chicago - WINNER: CHICAGO. Pretty interesting match up. Two good teams going at it I just think Chicago has more to prove and there going to want the game more.
Baltimore @ Cincinnati - WINNER: CINCINNATI. A possible sweep for the Cincinnati Bengals? Never thought I'd see the day. They wont let the opportunity pass. WHO DEY BABY
Houston @ Indianapolis - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. This is going to be a major test for the Colts as the Texans have been red hot lately. Look for a high scoring game with Peyton Manning out playing Matt Schaub.
Miami @ New England - WINNER: NEW ENGLAND. Tom Brady is once again Tom Brady. End of story.
Green Bay @ Tampa Bay - WINNER: GREEN BAY. Battle of the Bays, which in reality is going to be a massacre. The BUcs are terrible and the Packers are starting to play good football.
Kansas City @ Jacksonville - WINNER: JACKSONVILLE. No let down here the Jags take care of business.
Detroit @ Seattle - WINNER: SEATTLE. Look for Hasselback to have a huge day against a sub par (putting it nicely) defense.
Carolina @ New Orleans - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. Carolina has a quarterback that is awful and they're playing a secondary that loves to intercept the ball and take it back for touchdowns. Could be a long day for Jake Delhomme.
San Diego @ New York - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. New York has been out of sinc for quite a while and I dont see it ending at home against a quality Chargers team. SD takes this game.
Tennessee @ San Fransisco - WINNER: SAN FRANCISCO. They win one game and your going to favor them already??? No. Tennessee has proved nothing yet and I still dont think they're good enough to be favored in any game yet.
Dallas @ Philadelphia - WINNER: PHILADELPHIA. The Eagles are the best team in that division and this is their chance to prove it once and for all. McNabb leads them to victory on his legs and throwing arm.
Pittsburgh @ Denver - WINNER: DENVER. It is so hard to go to Denver and win a football game. And when you put pressure on Worthlessburger he's just that worthless. Denver is going to take this ball game and further solidify themselves as a tier 1 NFL team.

SPORTS: Week 8 Winners
Chicago @ Cleveland - WINNER: CHICAGO. All I can say is that they better make up for that embarrasing showing in Cincinnati last week.
Seattle @ Dallas - WINNER: DALLAS. Big win against Atlanta last week gets this team back on track. They continue to roll.
St. Louis @ Detroit - WINNER: DETROIT. What a shitty game. Detroit, whatever.
San Francisco @ Indianapolis - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. They have this guy named Peyton Manning. Yeah....
Miami @ New York Jets - WINNER: NEW YORK. The defense wont be beat by the Wildcat offense twice in one year. They take this game.
New York Giants @ Philadelphia - WINNER: PHILADELPHIA. Tough to win in Philly and Eli wont get it done this time.
Denver @ Baltimore - WINNER: BALTIMORE. If Denver's to have a let down this would be the week. Baltimore is in a must win spot and will be leaving everything on the field.
Jacksonville @ Tennessee - WINNER: JACKSONVILLE. The Titans are really bad.
Oakland @ San Diego - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. Oakland is also really bad.
Carolina @ Arizona - WINNER: CAROLINA. They have to win a game sometime so why not now? The running game does it for them.
Minnesota @ Green Bay - WINNER: MINNESOTA. Welcome home Brett Favre, you still know how to win here.
Atlanta @ New Orleans - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. This is going to be one hell of a shoot out and we all know what Drew Brees can do with that offense. I think they just simply out score the Falcons.

SPORTS: Week 7 Winners
Minnesota @ Pittsburgh - WINNER: MINNESOTA. What a great match up. Two of the best teams in football going at it. I think after that last second win last week the Vikings are going to be sky high with confidence and the go into Heinz field and steal one.
New England @ Tampa Bay - WINNER: NEW ENGLAND. Could be another throwing clinic from Tom Brady. This one wont even be close.
San Francisco @ Houston - WINNER: HOUSTON. They just had a big win over Cincinnati last week and have the confidence to win this game.
Green Bay @ Cleveland - WINNER: GREEN BAY. Yeah this isnt actually a game.
San Diego @ Kansas City - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. After a divisional loss to Denver look for this team to bounce back in brilliant fashion.
New York Jets @ Oakland - WINNER: NEW YORK. They wont lose another game in a row. And Jamarcus Russell is still the worst QB in the NFL.
Buffalo @ Carolina - WINNER: CAROLINA. This is a terrible who cares game. Toss up, I'll go with Carolina.
Atlanta @ Dallas - WINNER: ATLANTA. Sorry Big D, its just not your time anymore, its Matt Ryan's.
Chicago @ Cincinnati - WINNER: CINCINNATI. Bad loss last week to Houston but watch out for Cedric Benson to have a big game against his old team.
New Orleans @ Miami - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. Two words, Drew Brees.
Arizona @ New York Giants - WINNER: NEW YORK. They are simply going to out play Arizona in every aspect of the game.
Phladelphia @ Washington - WINNER: PHILLY. They have to show everyone the real them after that travesty of a football game last week.

SPORTS: NFL Rankings Through Week 6
2) Indianapolis Colts - If not for the smack down N.O. laid on Eli and company brother Peyton would hold the top spot. Year in and year out no one is or ever has been more consistent or better than Peyton Manning. Its a different look this year with the same outcome. No longer is there Manning to Harrison. That has been replaced with Manning to Collie or Manning to Garcon, but for Colts fans its all the same. Indianapolis, I'll see you in February.
3) Minnesota Vikings - This is the reemergence of Brett Favre. With the Jets he looked more like a David Carr than Favre but now he's back. With the help of a great defense and the best running back in the league the Vikings are once again a tier on team. The have what it takes to not only make it to the big game but walk away with the Lombardi trophy. This is their time and the only piece that was missing was a legitimate receiver threat and they've found three choices. Percy Harvin, Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian have all been coming up huge and they will continue to all the way to the championship.
4) Denver Broncos - Kyle Orton, welcome to prosperity. From the depths of failure to the top tier of NFL QB's Orton has risen from obscurity to stardom. Behind Orton and a vicious defense the Broncos have started 6-0. Elvis Dumervil leads the sideline to sideline defense that never seems to run out of energy and forces more mistakes than it makes. Look for them to stick around to the end.
5) New York Giants - The other Manning is quickly becoming just as good as his brother. With Steve Smith, and not the one that usually comes to mind, making plays on the outside and Brandon Jacobs running people over on the inside this offense is extremely dangerous. And their defense is just as good.
6) Atlanta Falcons - Welcome back to NFL prosperity. Behind Matt Ryan, Tony Gonzalez and Michael Turner this team has started their season 4-1. The offense can definitely hold their own, go ahead and ask San Francisco. The defense is play above expectations and this young team, if they play beyond their years, could make it deep into the playoffs.
7) New England Patriots - Well one thing we learned from that Tennessee game is that when all of the pieces of the puzzle are healthy this team is the real deal. They can still throw up a ton of points and yes Tom Brady is still Tom Brady. IF they start playing like that every game watch out.
8) Cincinnati Bengals - Well the Cardiac Cats are definitely fun to watch this season but that let down against the Houston Texans definitely brought back some terrible memories. A bounce back against a tough Chicago Bears team would solidify them as a top ten team.
9) Pittsburgh Steelers - The Defending champs seem to be coming off their hangover but as it stands they did get beat be the Bengals so their ranked lower. That being said Big Ben is starting to play better and the discovery of Rashard Mendenhall has been huge. With Polamalu back in the secondary they are once again a dangerous defense.
10) Chicago Bears - I hesitate to put them this high even though their record is above .500. The team just doesnt impress me in their games. Big game this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals and a win would make this ranking look a lot better.
11) Baltimore Ravens - They in all honesty should be 4-2 but thats neither here nor there. The defense has to stop making stupid mistakes, including penalties. It cost you the Cincy game and has played a role in several other games. The offense looks better with Joe Flacco and Ray Rice. Definitely not a team to look past.
12) Green Bay Packers - Again this spot is a toss up but i'll give them the nod. Rogers always makes them a threat but the defense and the run game have to get better to make this team a real contender.
13) Philadelphia Eagles - I am being generous. That game against Oakland was awful. On paper this team is better than 3-2 but as of right now thats where they stand. Get it together....
14) Arizona Cardinals - Where has this offense been all year. Dont get me wrong their putting some points on the board but nothing like what we saw last year. Maybe its another strike of the Superbowl hangover. The #1 rushing defense is definitely a plus though.
15) San Diego Chargers - They just lost a tough game to a really good Denver team but a loss is a loss and a 2-3 record is an ugly thing. Rivers is still Rivers but Tomlinson just doesnt look right. Playing days numbered???
16) San Francisco 49ers - They havent been ranked up here in awhile. Need to get some kind of passing game going though. Michael Crabtree this is your time..... dont screw up.
17) Houston Texans - Big win in Cincinnati last week. The offense can definitely put up some numbers, if you watched the game you know, but the defense is lacking and this team is way to hot and cold. Gotta be consistent.
18) Dallas Cowboys - They're unimpressive and thats saying it lightly. Roy Williams is a huge bust of a trade and you can thank Detroit for ruining him. Besides some guy named Miles Austin this team wouldnt have a legitimate receiver threat. I say this to the entire organization, you might have the biggest stadium TV in the league, but if you hit it with punts more than the other team your not doing your job.
19) Miami Dolphins - Not gonna lie Chad Henne is a lot better than anyone expected him to be. We knew Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown would get their yards but Henne throwing the ball like a young Marino? Yeah its a pretty thing. They could definitely win more then half their games.
20) New York Jets - Falling apart. The rookie is finally coming out in Mark Sanchez and minus the run game they havent been able to do anything on offense. The defense is decent but has to many off days. Mediocre team at best.
21) Jacksonville Jaguars - Well the defense is terrible, the passing game is decent and the running game is good. Jones Drew is the savior of this team. Shut him down, shut them down.
22) Seattle Seahawks - Yeah i know what your thinking this is a little high for this team isnt it? Not at all. The offense has the potential to put up some big numbers but the defense has to get it together and the whole team needs to be more consistent.
23) Carolina Panthers - Well Jake Delhomme is obviously not the answer at quarterback. only 4 touchdowns. wow. this team is going to continue to lose games til they get Delhomme figured out. There lucky they have a good set of running backs.
24) Oakland Raiders - What can you honestly say about the Raiders? They suck but they pull out a win against the Eagles? I have no words. Never know what to think about them. Jamarcus Russell is the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. And someone please remind Richard Seymour where he's playing.
25) Detroit Lions - This team is a few pieces away from being a decent football team. They really need to find some kind of defense though. Stafford is going to be good.
26) Buffalo Bills - They are a mess. Back to back weeks without a touchdown. Yeah they are really bad.
27) Kansas City - They are definitely starting to play better football so dont look past them in the second half of the season.
28) Washington Redskins - How does either Jim Zorn or Jason Campbell still have a job?
29) Cleveland Browns - Not many teams have two useless starting quarterbacks on the same team.
30) Tennessee Titans - Wow, no one saw this coming. Well i mean at least they put up a fight against the Patriots..... wait.......
31) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Second last, well you could be worse.
32) St. Louis Rams - Wow they have definitely fallen off fast. Remember when they were the greatest show on turf? Whew this is bad.

SPORTS: Week 6 Winners
Houston @ Cincinnati - WINNER: CINCINNATI. I just want to say that if this game gets blacked out like they're saying it might the city of Cincinnati should be ashamed of itself. Everyone says they want a winning team every year and now you have one and you wont go to home games, are you kidding me? They stay true to form this week against a sub par Houston team. Look for Cedric Benson to come up big.
Detroit @ Green Bay - WINNER: GREEN BAY. I really hope Detroit wins this game but I just think the wide receivers of the Packers are going to have a field day against the Lions secondary. I cant see them pulling this one out. Great game against Pittsburgh last week though.
Baltimore @ Minnesota - WINNER: MINNESOTA. Huge game this week. Two great teams take the field and its going to come down to the wire. My game changers are the players on the defensive line for the Vikings. Jared Allen, Pat Williams and Kevin Williams will control the running game and keep pressure on the young QB forcing him to make mistakes. Minnesota takes this game.
New York Giants @ New Orleans - WINNER: NEW YORK. Best team in football goes up against the best QB in football. Tough choice. New Orleans puts up so many points and plays good defense against the pass but I dont think they really know how win a game of this importance. This is for first place in the NFL, not just a division. These are the two best teams in the NFl, bragging rights on the line. New York takes this game behind Manning and Jacobs.
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh - WINNER: PITTSBURGH. Are you kidding me?
Carolina @ Tampa Bay - WINNER: CAROLINA. Another ugly game. Steve Smith, that's the deciding factor.
Kansas City @ Washington - WINNER: KANSAS CITY. Not exactly an ugly game but definitely not one I would waste my time on. A good showing against Dallas last week gives KC the nod.
St. Louis @ Jacksonville - WINNER: JACKSONVILLE. They are starting to look like the Jacksonville that took the field the last couple of years. They take this game thanks to Jones-Drew.
Arizona @ Seattle - WINNER: SEATTLE. Another partial ugly game but both teams can throw the ball so this should be a game decided in the 30's or 40's. Its a toss up so I'll just go with Seattle.
Philadelphia @ Oakland - WINNER: PHILADELPHIA. Jamarcus Russell is terrible. Donovan McNabb is not. The Eagles win.
Tennessee @ New England - WINNER: NEW ENGLAND. The Titans cant win with Kerry Collins and they definitely wont if they go with Vince Young aka the first Jamarcus Russell.
Buffalo @ New York Jets - WINNER: NEW YORK. Sanchez and the Jets bounce back from back to back losses in good form by dominating the Bills.
Chicago @ Atlanta - WINNER: ATLANTA. Huge game against the tough 49ers defense last week makes this offense legit. I expect the same in this game at home against the Bears.
Denver @ San Diego - WINNER: DENVER. This is not the same Kyle Orton that was in Chicago and they can run the ball. Oh and have you seen there defense? Yeah they are a LEGIT undefeated team. San Diego is good but Denver is just on another level right now.

SPORTS: Week 5 Winners
Cincinnati @ Baltimore - WINNER: CINCINNATI. Cincinnati loves you Mike Zimmer. You have the full support of all of us fans. You'll get through this. Shitty news in Cincinnati this morning when Defensive Coordinator Zimmer came home to find his wife had passed away. This game is for the man that made the defense a defense. The man who made a young team come together and learn how to win as a team. This game is for him. WHO DEY
Cleveland @ Buffalo - WINNER: BUFFALO. I just cannot see Cleveland winning a game anytime soon. They played well against Cincinnati last week but they just dont know how to win games yet. They'll be there eventually just now yet.
Washington @ Carolina - WINNER: CAROLINA. Washington is awful, just terrible. Carolina is eventually going to get their offense together and there is no better time to do that than when your playing someone who isnt exactly playing good football on your home field.
Pittsburgh @ Detroit - WINNER: PITTSBURGH. Detroit is getting better, but there not that good yet. Big Ben and that offense go ahead and put up enough to win.
Dallas @ Kansas City - WINNER: DALLAS. I hate picking them but I just cant see Kansas City pulling the upset. Dallas takes this game.
Oakland @ New York Giants - WINNER: NEW YORK. Oakland will not have a winning season with Jamarcus Russell at QB. He is HORRIBLE. The worst starting quarterback in the NFL and yes that does include Byron Leftwich and Derek Anderson/Brady Quinn.
Tampa Bay @ Philadelphia - WINNER: PHILADELPHIA. McNabb is back in the line up and thats pretty much all you need. He makes them a different team. Gives them swagger. They'll win with him back.
Minnesota @ St. Louis - WINNER: MINNESOTA. The Rams are another team that should just hold open tryouts for both players on the field and in the front office. They suck in every aspect of the game. Maybe my Ohio Bobcats would be a better match up for the Vikings.
Atlanta @ San Francisco - WINNER: ATLANTA. San Francisco is good but Atlanta is better. Matt Ryan shows why he is one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL.
Houston @ Arizona - WINNER: ARIZONA. It hasnt been like last year and it might never be that good again but the offense needs to show some kind of life and maybe playing someone like Houston would help.
New England @ Denver - WINNER: DENVER. Im starting to believe in this team a little bit. If they win this game I might go ahead and label them as a real contender. That said I do thing Tom Brady is going to struggle against this defense.
Jacksonville @ Seattle - WINNER: JACKSONVILLE. They are starting to play good football both on offense and defense and they have found a solid receiveing threat in sims-walker. They'll take this game without much resistance.
Indianapolis @ Tennessee - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. They have a certain fellow in the backfield named Manning and Tennessee is awful. Game goes to Indianapolis. Tennessee might just reach 13 again.... losses this time tho.
New York Jets @ Miami - WINNER: NEW YORK. If Sanchez is the man he will have a good bounceback week and New York will take this game. Plus there is a new quarterback in Miami and New Yorks defense had been a juggernaut this season.
Week Record: 11-3
Season Record: 53-23

SPORTS: Week 4 Winners
Detroit @ Chicago - WINNER: CHICAGO. They are not the struggling Washington team the Lions faced last week and that defense should be just good enough to keep the Lions from scoring many points.
Cincinnati @ Cleveland - WINNER: CINCINNATI. This is a different team from the one we saw last year. They are fast and like to hit on defense and Carson Palmer is starting to look like the quarterback he was during the playoff run in 2005. Oh and the Browns are just awful.
Oakland @ Houston - WINNER: HOUSTON. Oakland is just not as good as I thought they were. Andre Johnson should have a big game and the Texans should take this one at home.
Seattle @ Indianapolis - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. They have some guy named Peyton Manning in the backfield and he just knows how to win ball games. He does the same thing this week
Tennessee @ Jacksonville - WINNER: TENNESSEE. I just cannot see Tennessee starting the season 0-4 and they pick up their first win of the season at Jacksonville. It won't be easy but I think they get the job done.
New York Giants @ Kansas City - WINNER: NEW YORK. Well they are playing against arguablly the worst team in football and the passing game in New York is a lot better than people give it credit.
Baltimore @ New England - WINNER: BALTIMORE. The defense is as good as they've ever been and now they have an offense that can put up points. This team could win the Super Bowl this year.
Tampa Bay @ Washington - WINNER: WASHINGTON. Both of these teams are a mess so its a toss up but I think the Redskins have a little more talent so I'll go with them.
Buffalo @ Miami - WINNER: BUFFALO. This is a terrible game. Thats all there is to it. Neither of these teams deserve a win but someone has to and with the quarterback situation the way it is in Miami I have to go with Buffalo.
New York Jets @ New Orleans - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. They are the best team in the NFL in my mind. Drew Brees has the offense running like a well oiled machine and I dont see that ending anytime soon.
Dallas @ Denver - WINNER: DALLAS. I still think Denver is a pretender so I have to go with Dallas here.
St. Louis @ San Francisco - WINNER: SAN FRANCISCO. They are for real this year and, well, St. Louis isnt.
San Diego @ Pittsburgh - WINNER: PITTSBURGH. This might be the best game on tv this week. It'll be a battle but I just think Pittsburgh needs this game more and they will prove it with a win.
Green Bay @ Minnesota - WINNER: MINNESOTA. They have all the pieces in place to win this game and its time for Brett Favre to show Green Bay why he was and still is the man.
Week record: 11-3
Season Record: 42-20
Friday, September 25, 2009
SPORTS: Week 3 Winners
Cleveland @ Baltimore - WINNER: BALTIMORE. Cleveland is terrible and the Ravens are coming off a big win at San Diego. They'll take this one by two touchdowns or more.
Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati - WINNER: CINCINNATI. Yup you heard it here first. Cincinnati should be 2-0 right now and they'll get their second win of the season at home against a Pittsburgh team that is hurting and just doesnt seem to be on the same page.
Washington @ Detroit - WINNER: DETROIT. This is the week. Detroit does not get to 20 straight losses and you can thank the Washington offense for that. Detroit by a field goal.
Jacksonville @ Houston - WINNER: HOUSTON. The offense has it together and the defense is showing promise. Jacksonville got embarassed by the passing game of Arizona and the same will happen this week.
San Francisco @ Minnesota - WINNER: MINNESOTA. They have AP and some quarterback named Favre or something like that. Yeah they'll beat San Fran. Sorry boys.
Atlanta @ New England - WINNER: ATLANTA. This is Matt Ryan's time. It's his turn to make some noise and win the big games. He leads his team past Tom Brady and a new era is born.
Kansas City @ Philadelphia - WINNER: PHILADELPHIA. Even with McNabb out they are a dangerous team and lets face it, the chiefs are not very good. AT ALL.
Green Bay @ St. Louis - WINNER: GREEN BAY. They need this game. They have to win against St. Louis to prove to all the nay sayers, including me, that they are as good as they claim to be. I'll go ahead and give them the benefit of the doubt this week.
New York Giants @ Tampa Bay - WINNER: NEW YORK. They have a Manning in the backfield and a Manningham in the wideouts and they are becoming a major threat. Oh and some guy named Jacobs in the backfield too. They take this game.
New Orleans @ Buffalo - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. Their defense might not be the greatest thing i've ever seen but I just can't see Buffalo being able to keep up on the offensive side of the ball. They won't be able to match the 30+ points that Brees and company are going to put up.
Chicago @ Seattle - WINNER: CHICAGO. They come off a huge win over Pittsburgh and have confidence to boot so this game should be a walk in the park.
Tennessee @ New York Jets - WINNER: TENNESSEE. They have to win this game to save their season. This is do or die for them.
Denver @ Oakland - WINNER: OAKLAND. This team is a lot better than people give them credit for. And Denver is definitely not as good as their record makes them look. Oakland by a touchdown.
Miami @ San Diego - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. Rivers leads them to a much needed victory after that loss to Baltimore last week. This is a big game.
Indianapolis @ Arizona - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. They just know how to win ball games, as is apparent in that win over Miami last week. They find a way to win this game too.
Carolina @ Dallas - WINNER: CAROLINA. I just feel like Carolina has what it takes to take this game from the Cowboys.
Week: 11-5
Season 31-17

SPORTS: Week 2 Winners
Houston @ Tennesse - WINNER: TENNESSE. The run game is pretty good and Kerry Collins does not make mistakes. They take this game but it will be a struggle.
Carolina @ Atlanta - WINNER: ATLANTA. Carolina falls into a deep hole losing two straight rivalry games. Delhomme will look better but look for Michael Turner's first breakout game.
New Orleans @ Philadelphia - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. McNabb is out so yeah they're done. New Orleans is running on all cylinders.
Oakland @ Kansas City - WINNER: OAKLAND. I never thought that I would say this but Oakland is looking good. Watch out for Michael Bush.
New England @ New York Jets - WINNER: NEW ENGLAND. You do not talk shit to Tom Brady. He puts up four touchdowns.
Cincinnati @ Green Bay - WINNER: CINCINNATI [UPSET]. They had a game stolen from them last week so look for them to have the fire in their eye this week. WHO DEY!!!
St. Louis @ Washington - WINNER: WASHINGTON. They bounce back from an ugly loss to the Giants last week.
Minnesota @ Detroit - WINNER: MINNESOTA. Adrian Peterson just cannot be stopped. He's gonna run all over them. Sorry Big D
Arizona @ Jacksonville - WINNER: ARIZONA. This one could go either way in all honesty but I feel like the passing game in Arizona is just going to be the game changer. Arizona in a tough one.
Tampa Bay @ Buffalo - WINNER: BUFFALO. They are on it right now. Should have beaten New England last week and they take this game for their first win in 2009.Seattle @ San Francisco - WINNER: SEATTLE. They have a retooled offense that can and will move the ball against San Fran. Oh and they score too. Game over for San Fran.
Pittsburgh @ Chicago - WINNER: PITTSBURGH. As much as I hate saying it they are a great team. The defense has some injuries but are still great and their offense is definitely getting it together.
Cleveland @ Denver - WINNER: CLEVELAND. Denver didn't deserve the win they were given at Cincinnati last week and Cleveland will take the W this week.
Baltimore @ San Diego - WINNER: SAN DIEGO. The offense is great and they will move the ball and score against this pretty decent defense.
New York Giants @ Dallas - WINNER: NEW YORK. The football giants take this one away from home thanks to a stellar defense.
Indianapolis @ Miami - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. The offense is the game breaker in this one.
Season Record: 20-12

SPORTS: Week 1 Winners
Miami @ Atlanta - WINNER: ATLANTA. Sophmore slump? Nope not gonna happen to wither Michael Turner or Matt Ryan. Riding the excitement off of last years run they take the home opener.
Denver @ Cincinnati - WINNER: CINCINNATI. This is the turn around year. Palmer is healthy, Chad is happy, the defense is young and fast. If they're going to take a step forward this is the year.
Minnesota @ Cleveland - WINNER: MINNESOTA. The defensive line is unreal, they have the best running back in football and now they add Brett "the man" Favre. This is their year.
Jacksonville @ Indianapolis - WINNER: INDIANAPOLIS. Yeah Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy are gone. But they still have Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne. Oh and dont sleep on Anthony Gonzalez as a number 2 WR or Donald Brown as a rookie star.
Detroit @ New Orleans - WINNER: NEW ORLEANS. The have the most consistent quarterback in the league and an extremely deep WR core. Detroits rebuilding. This isnt their week but it will come soon.
Dallas @ Tampa Bay - WINNER: DALLAS. Not that either of these teams are better than the other I just think Dallas has more of the pieces needed for a winning football team. They take this week one matchup.
Philadelphia @ Carolina - WINNER: CAROLINA. Delhomme will forget about that travesty of a game he had in the playoffs last year and with a two headed running attack and Steve Smith at WR they take this game. Philly falls back a game very early in the season. They'll be fine.
Kansas City @ Baltimore - WINNER: BALTIMORE. That defense is just ridiculous and having a new quarterback in KC is just going to make it harder to play against. Baltimore takes this game on field goals.
New York Jets @ Houston - WINNER: HOUSTON. Rookie quarterback in New York and an up and coming franchise in Houston. They take this game and this is their year.
Washington @ New York Giants - WINNER: GIANTS. The WRs are a little iffy but other than that they're pretty solid. The defense is great too.
San Francisco @ Arizona - WINNER: ARIZONA. The magic from last year is still there and San Francisco is just developing so this falls into Arizona's hands. This isn't San Frans week buit it will be soon.
St. Louis @ Seattle - WINNER: SEATTLE. This game is a toss up because neither team is particularly good but if Hasselbach stays healthy and the WRs develop they could be really good.
Chicago @ Green Bay - WINNER: CHICAGO [UPSET]. Chicago comes in as an underdog but they do have a man named Jay Cutler taking the snaps and with him there their WRs are great instead of good and they still have Matt Forte. The defense is getting it together again also.
Buffalo @ New England - WINNER: NEW ENGLAND. Tom Brady... enough said.
San Diego @ Oakland- WINNER: SAN DIEGO. One of the best quarterbacks in the NFL taking snaps with LT in the backfield and Gates at TE = great offense. The defense is looking better to. 10 win team right here.
Record: 10-6

SPORTS: Still Burning
Now as for Carson Palmer the man has never been the same since his knee injury in the playoffs against Pittsburgh. He followed the injury with a mediocre season and followed that with an injury that almost resulted in tommy john surgery. This guy just cannot seem to stay healthy and as a result has had seasons that are way below his potential. Now there is another injury to add to the ever growing list. Even if this one is minor (only keeping him out of the last 3 preseason games) it to has a large effect on how he will play in the regular season. Without those practice reps in the preseason a quarterback cannot get into a rhythm with his wide recievers and production will suffer as a result.
Andre Smith was a question mark coming out of college, especially when he gained a ton of weight before being drafted. But in what has become fashion for the Cincinnati Bengals they took a chance on him when there were other good picks left on the board. He then proceded to sit out of camp for almost the entire preseason losing valuable practice time which someone straight out of college desperately needs. So we finally sign him and right away he breaks his foot. What is it with Cincinnati and injuries? Don't drink the water I guess. Never have I seen a team with so much potential flounder it every year and a main reason this happens is the injuries suffered. So heres a couple suggestions: 1) Don't drink the water (I've never had a problem with it but who knows), 2) Man up, 3) Just stay away from Cincinnati if your looking to have a successful long career, at least until we get our act together. This one burns deep.
Remember, if it burns people want to talk about it.

SPORTS: RED SOX v. YANKEES; WHAT BURNS MOST?
Depending on which team you rep the answer to this question most likely rest on completely different sides of the spectrum. Lets start at the beginning. Here's a familiar name. Babe Ruth. Signed by the Red Sox in 1911 he leads the Bo Soxs to 4 World Series titles in 7 years and then what does the team do in return. They ship him to the Yankees of course and with that the biggest burn begins.... The curse. 86 years of futility, nothing is worse than that many years of failure. And what makes it all the worse is the ways in which it occurs. Free agents stolen from the Red Sox. Ready? The list is long. Babe Ruth, Wade Boggs, Jose Contreras, Roger Clemens, Johnny Damon, Alex Rodriguez, Mark Texiera, C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett several who were Red Sox players at one time adding insult to injury. Then theres the heartbreaking loses. The collapse of 1978 which peaked with a one game playoff loss to the Yankees. Or maybe it was watching Aaron Boone destroy any World Series hopes with one swing of his bat. Then enter 2004, you knew it was going to be the Yankees turn for heartbreak evetually. Up 3 games in the ALCS and another dominating performance against the Red Sox was in sight. Then Papi stepped to the plate in the 12th inning of game 5. One swing of the bat and all moment swung. They walked away with game and 3 games later finished one of the greatest comebacks ever in Yankee fashion by dominating game seven and eventually winning their first World Series in 86 years. They would win another two years later repositioning themselves back into the baseball hierarchy. Without a doubt more negativity has plagued the Red Sox then Yankees but at the same time recent burns have all been felt by the Yankees. So what burned the most? The biggest burn in this rivalry has been felt by the Red Sox (though I hate to say it being a Red Sox fan) and it would be the 86 year drought that we had to suffer through. Have the Yankees go through a period like that including all of the heart breaking loses and we'll see how the evil empire feels.
Oh and if it burns everyone wants to talk about it.

SPORTS: The First Burn
It seems like everytime we turn around another name is dropped that is alledgedly connected to steroids or some other illegal supplement. These names included the likes of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemons, Rafael Palmero, Alex Rodriguez and Manny Ramirez all of whom dealt with the issue with as much grace as a gorilla in high heels. Then came David Ortiz. The big guy, the player you just can't hate even if you are a Yankees fan. Suddenly the accusations went to another level and really hit home. Only this time the answer we received from the accused wasn't just endless no comments. He vowed to get answers and dealt with the problem head on and instead of looking like just another player who would do anything to get ahead he kept his Papi persona. The fans love him, the players love him and the media loves to talk about him. And as a result look how this turned out. Instead of his name going down as just another dirty player he stood out and questions were raised not just about his baseball past but also about the tests themselves. He swore he took only supplements and it was found that many of the positive tests were found to be caused by supplements that at the time were not band by the MLB. Not only that but the test was revealed to have a different number of positive test in the Unions version and in the governments version. Now for one I'm sick of hearing about the steroid era which has captivated sports news for the last year. It's news that is getting old real fast. Second, if the tests themselves have discrepencies then how can they even be viewed and used as evidence of cheating? If the supplements were legal at the time they were used than there is no legal leg to stand on. Let it go....
Now as for the NFL and MLB drafts it makes me sick when i see a kid straight out of college being payed as much as these kids are. Matthew Stafford gets 72 million over six years from the lions (47.1 of which is automatically guaranteed) and he hasn't touched a pig skin in the pros yet? Michael Crabtree isn't getting paid but thats because he's complaining about how much he's getting paid to PLAY A GAME for a living. Are you kidding me? You don't deserve to get paid until you do something to prove to everyone that you actually deserve the money that you get. There's no way you could talk me into giving an unproven rookie 41.7 million dollars when he could end up being a bust (especially in Detroit). And as for Crabtree, when you grow up and realize that your privaledged to play a game to make a living then you can get your money. Oh as if the double digit million dollar contract San Francisco offered you wasnt good enough. What is wrong with you? Sign the stupid contract and play, thats why they drafted you and if you do the right things and produce I promise a larger contract will follow. Look at Peyton Manning.
Finally I have a problem with college football and I will always have a problem with college football until a playoff system is created. It's not fun watching the same teams in the National Championship every year. Florida, USC, Ohio State, Oklahoma... it gets old. Half the time theres a better team that gets screwed out of the Championship game. Like last year for instance. Texas and Texas Tech were both good enough to play in the National Championship along with Georgia, Alabama and Penn State. Not only that but what about the little guy? Schools such as Boise State never get the recognition they deserve. Undefeated is undefeated and therefore a playoff must be created to get the two teams that are truly the best. Without one the college football season just isnt the same.
These are the parts of the sports world that have me fuming. Remember if it burns everyone wants to talk about it
